| Spring is coming! |
It's not the heat, it's the humidity. Sounds like music to my ears at this point. Maybe it's because I'm getting older, and with the dashes of grey in my beard comes less tolerance to the cold. Or maybe because this winter has just felt impressively long. But I think what really makes me look forward to hearing people say that means one thing:
It's baseball season.
That means random Tuesday nights listening to the radio broadcast while dozing off on the patio. Hearing the sizzle of brats on the grill to the sounds of Christian Yelich home runs, and Sal Frelick defensive gems. Slap hits, and stolen bases. Are we there yet?
Patience, Milwaukee Brewer fans, the parking lots will be open soon. Before you know it, opening day will be on us, and in the meantime, there's roster and rotation spots to be earned. Here's your biggest story lines as spring training is fully underway.
Who's on third?
The Crew's projected starting lineup took a drastic, and unexpected turn when Milwaukee traded Caleb Durbin, Andruw Monasterio, and Anthony Siegler to the Boston Red Sox for a pair of left-handed hitters and a light hitting shortstop.
Will it be David Hamilton? Luis Rengifo? Could Brock Wilken slug his way into a 40-man roster spot and a starting role by the end of spring training? Stay tuned.
Who gets the first five starts?

| Woody back for one more ride |
You've pre-ordered MLB The Show 26, and you've got your crack Milwaukee starting rotation lined up. At the top? De-facto Ace Brandon Woodruff. Next? The breakout project Quinn Priester. Let's follow that up with 103 MPH fastball sensation Jacob Misiorowski. Next up we have.... well. That's the question.
With an absolute cadre of Starting Pitching options - Kyle Harrison, Logan Henderson, and Chad Patrick to name a few - the group of pitchers that will start games for Milwaukee this season is equal parts question marks and high potential. This spring will give us a glimpse of the (many?) names that will take the bump for Milwaukee this summer.
When will Made be made?
Listen, we can talk about Joey Ortiz, Jett Williams, David Hamilton, and Cooper Pratt all we want - but there is one at-bat that Brew Crew fans will have all eyes on this spring - Jesus Made. The 18-year-old shortstop prospect who everyone in the Cream City is hoping is the *next* *big* *thing.*
Is he The Kid 2.0? Will he continue his epic rise in prospect status to future star? Is he the real deal? Will the Milwaukee have another teenage hitter wowing the fanbase with his complete skillset? I, for one, can't wait to see.
Classic Baseball, World Style.
Hadn't you heard? The World Baseball Classic is back! Brewers second baseman (maybe shortstop?) Brice Turang joins Team USA and their never changing jerseys. On top of that team Venezuela will feature catcher William Contreras, outfielder Jackson Chourio, and a Brewer newcomer in the form of lefty Angel Zerpa.
Some other MKE familiar names to keep an eye on in these years installment - Joey Ortiz for Mexico, Carlos Rodriguez for Nicaragua, and Team Canada will be sporting Tyler Black and Rob Zastryzny.
We have extra baseball this season, and who doesn't want to see a rematch of USA-Japan after that sensational final in the last edition?
Spring Training is here dummy. Get in, we're watching baseball again.
